Phuket - Day 1

Hello Yi Wang,

This post is especially for you. Kaka. See I so nice - Sit at home on a Saturday afternoon to post up pics for you to see. Aiseh, I'm such a good older sis ;)

I'm just going to keep this short and sweet because there were over 1500 pics for the 6 days trip. That's just crazy! Seeing all the photos - I really don't know which to choose. I'll just pick the highlights of the trip and you can go to Sim Li's laptop to see all of them when you're back yea!! ^^

A random stone, the stone highlight of the day in Karon. It's not a tourist spot, that stone's located in one of the upper class resorts overseeing the beach. We stayed in Pineapple Guesthouse, walking distance to this place.

This is Karon beach, I think this pic looks better with the alien making 'peace' sign. :P

This is Kata Beach, with the alien in pic 2 again..

Kata Beach at sunset with our cool dad. . and even cooler photographer *clears throat*

Kata beach. Mom's at guesthouse sleeping now...

Overpriced tuk-tuk in Phuket. We went from this place (Kata) to the next pic you see (Karon View Point), it costs us RM50 return. Then from this place (Kata) back to guest house (Karon), another RM30. We didn't go with this though, we took a taxi but their prices are the same. For more info, ask dad. :) Next time if wanna go Phuket, need to sleep in tent to save for transportation fees.

Phuket - Day 2

We went to Ice Family Tour agency (in Karon) to book for a full on tour today. It includes a 3 hour day trip around Phuket which costs RM150 (I think it's more expensive coz it's Chinese New Year eve?) and later on a half day trip (1pm - 8pm) which costs RM65 each. Please note that the entry fee of RM20 per person into the James Bond Island was not included.

First destination: Rang Hill

Destination 3: Rawai Beach

Destination 4: Light house @ Phromthep Cape

Later on, we went to money changer, then back to our Guest House at 11.30pm, go drink a coconut each and buy fruits. By 12pm, we wait for the Sim's Tour bus to go Phang Nga Bay expedition at the main street right next to Karon Beach.

Phi-Phi Island - Day 3 and 4

Day 3

Arrived at our resort about 1.30pm. We took 2 hrs boat ride from Phuket pier to Phi-phi pier (RM40 each). We had lunch at our resort overlooking the sea. Today is pretty much relax and easy day as we book a 3 hour long tail boat tour for 3 hours, from 7am-10am tomorrow morning. We booked the tour at about 5-6pm when we were walking around Long Beach and a tour guy asked us what we planned for tomorrow. That exclusive snorkelling tour costs us RM120 per boat.

Small beach, a secluded beach behind our resort

We stayed at Long Beach, RM8 each per ride from the pier. It's not as busy as the Tonsai Village, which was walking distance from the pier.

Day 4

Woke up early to go on our snorkelling trip. We were suppose to wake up at 6am but Sim Li put it as 6am Malaysian time, unknowingly we only found out when we got ready by 7am, but it's only 6am Thai time. So, we got to watch sunrise and went over to Mom and Dad's room and help them get ready faster.

Sunrise at 6.30am

View from our room.

Destination 1: Snorkelling at Maya Bay, where they filmed the show entitled The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio

Spectacular @ Phi phi View Point near Tonsai Village. After this, it was free and easy (have to lah) because we ran out of money. haha. Ate boiled eggs this morning and fried eggs the other (we bought bread from 7-eleven to go with our fried eggs tomorrow). We were scheduled to depart tomorrow at 9am, another 2 hour ferry ride to Krabi.

Krabi - Day 5 and 6

View from Phi-phi Hill Resort, the other side from our bungalow. It's sunset bungalow's view. Had one last look before we departed.

This picture was taken at the Krabi pier, when we just arrived.

After we shopped at Ao Nang, we took a half an hour bus back to Krabi town. It was RM4 each.

We all love staying at the Greenery Hotel because it' s central from the pier, night and morning market. At night, we ate and shopped at the night market. Mom and dad got 2 Thai ladies to give them massage in our room.

Today's the last day. We ate breakfast at the morning market. Then, Sim Li and I continued last minute shopping.

Walking around Krabi town.

That's all for now!! Our trip in a nutshell :) So, what you waiting for? We can now start planning for our next family trip!!
